ZipTools (ziptools.dev) is a collection of free online utilities operated by Bornara AI, a sole proprietorship based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Client-Side Processing

All ZipTools utilities run entirely in your browser. Text you type, images you upload, and passwords you generate are processed locally on your device using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your data is never sent to our servers or any third-party servers for processing.

You can verify this by using any tool while disconnected from the internet (after the initial page load).

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect the text, images, files, or passwords you process with our tools
• We do not require account creation, login, or any personal information to use our tools
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing
• We do not use tracking pixels or fingerprinting techniques

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It collects only aggregated, anonymous metrics such as page views, referrers, and browser types.

We also use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site. GA4 may use cookies to collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, and traffic sources. No personally identifiable information is collected through our analytics setup. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing history.

ZipTools itself uses the following local storage:

• Theme preference — stored in localStorage (not a cookie) to remember your light/dark mode choice. This never leaves your device.
• Cookie consent — stored in localStorage to remember whether you accepted or declined non-essential cookies.

Third-party cookies may be set by Google AdSense for advertising purposes (see Advertising section above). You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings.

Third-Party Services

Children's Privacy

ZipTools is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since our tools run entirely in the browser and require no account or personal details, no age-specific data is ever collected or stored by us. Third-party services embedded on this site (such as Google AdSense) are governed by their own policies regarding children's data.

Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data through our tools, there is nothing to retain or delete. Third-party services (Cloudflare, Google) manage their own data retention policies as described in their respective privacy policies.

Under applicable Canadian privacy legislation (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, international regulations (GDPR, CCPA), you have the right to:

ZipTools does not directly collect, store, or process personal data. However, third-party services we use (Google AdSense, Cloudflare) may collect limited data as described above.
